Three Hams.
Full Spectrum.
Gear and antennas, digital modes, field ops, licensing, contesting, whatever we're into this week. No curriculum and no credentials. Just three friends who love radio, covering the hobby the way most hams actually experience it: with curiosity, opinions, bad ideas that sometimes work, and a lot of enthusiasm.
Shack Talk That Got Out of Hand
We met through the South Lyon Area Amateur Radio Club in Michigan. The conversations after meetings kept running long, kept getting better, and eventually someone said the dangerous words: "we should record this." The podcast is what happened next.
SLAARC · N8SL · South Lyon, MIMeet the Guys Behind the Mics
Jim Davis
A voice made for radio and the logbook to match. Jim brings deep HF knowledge, sharp humor, and the unhurried confidence that only comes from years behind the mic and the key. He also has a poodle. Somehow it always comes up.
Rory Locke
Licensed since his teens and the longest-serving ham of the three. The youngest of the group with the oldest soul: direct, calm, deeply knowledgeable, and usually holding the answer before you've finished the question. We call him the old man. He's earned it.
James Mills
The newest ham of the three, Extra class by way of pure curiosity rather than a technical background. James brings the social side of the hobby, the content creation, and the willingness to figure things out in public so you don't have to.
